 Laser hair removal is a method that consists of emitting laser waves of heat that penetrate by heating the melanin through the hair to reach the follicle. The tricky thing about this process is that it also does this to the skin. The reason why fair skin with dark hair is ideal is because the skin has much less melanin than the hair, so the follicle heats up much more than the skin, destroying the hair without causing burns.

On the contrary, darker skins have more melanin and absorb more of the laser light, which can lead to burns, discolouration or scarring of the skin if the patient does not take the recommended care. The laser we work with is not recommended for dark skin.

You may not expose yourself to the sun in the direct area to be worked on 5 days before and 5 days after the laser treatment to avoid any kind of staining or irritation of the skin.

Laser hair removal is not contraindicated for infants, but it is recommended to start after 3 months of breastfeeding. This is due to hormonal regulation.

Shave the day before each appointment or 5 to 4 hours before, always with razors or profiler.

If you are not shaved at the time of your appointment, you will be charged a fee of $20.00 to $30.00 (depending on the area to be worked on). 

No depilatory creams or tweezers, as the laser seeks the darkness of the follicle.

If you are taking any medication or supplement that contains botulinum or accelerates hair growth, it is recommended to remove it during the treatment as it may slow down the laser process.

If there is irritation in the area, the laser service cannot be performed.

You must wait 3-4 days after the laser service to shave again.

Treatment is repeated every 30-45 days at the earliest.
